BoardBuddiez: X-Treme Snowboarding

This game was created in two weeks for the 32bit Game Jam 2021.

Choose from 4 available racers and 5 available snowboards.

Jump and do tricks to keep your speed up and win the race. 

Story:

This is the BoardBuddiez: X-Treme Snowboarding championship.

You've somehow made it to the finals.

Your opponents are faster. They can make sharper turns. They know this course like the back of their hands.

But you have something they don't.

Style.

Show 'em what you got. 

Known bugs:

Sometimes menu sounds get desynced!

The character select screen looks like shit!

The placing system mid-race? It straight up lies to you. All the time.

Animations sometimes get weird. Oftentimes get weird.

And many more!

Unknown bugs:

I have no idea if controller support works, never tested it, never will. I implemented it though. 

Probably lots of other stuff, this was made in 2 weeks, and it's one of my first projects. Go easy on me!

Patch 0.1.1

-Fixed WebGL player size (Thanks, Unity, for ruining my aspect ratio with your defaults!)

Patch 0.1.2

-Fixed infinite jump bug

-Fixed pause restart bug

-Increased player base speed

-Halved the time it takes to get up from a fall.

-Made Style speed boost more obvious

-Widened range of NPC speeds (slower on average, top speeds still mostly untouched)

-Controller support works (I did not fix this, I just found out it works)

-The place counter is still 100% broken. This is patch number 2 where I continue to not fix it.

-Nerfed player base speed again, I just think it feels better.

-Fixed a bug where menu sounds disappear.

-Fixed the pause bug. Again. Hopefully. It was the same bug.
